The CIS includes the Private Hospital Data Bureau (PHDB) aggregated statistical tables from July 1997 to June 2006.

The PHDB data collection relates to private hospitals' episodes on care and contains clinical, demogratic and financial information.

The CIS contains a suite of data applications designed to enable analysis of hospital patient episodes.  The suite consists of four applications which include:

• Peer Group
• Benchmarking
• Clinical Profiles
• Efficiency reporting

To access the CIS, you will require a distinct individual code, which will allow you to compare and benchmark your Hospital or Health Fund Information.  IF you have not previously obtained a code, or have forgotten your code, you provide details to hcp@health.gov.au or alternatively you can fax a request to Chris Melzek on (02) 6289 7690.
